Our aim is to help build a more proactive healthcare system.

The current paradigm for infection management and diagnosis is purely reactive: it waits for patients to fall ill before engaging specialised scientists working with expensive equipment in centralised laboratory facilities to properly diagnose the problem. In contrast, we are working to miniaturise conventional microbiology testing and move it as near to the patient as possible. This new system will diagnose the most effective treatment for an emerging infection at a pre-symptomatic stage: improving outcomes for patients and helping preserve the antibiotics used today for future generations.

Our point-of-care diagnostics are simple and convenient to use and easy to interpret, providing peace of mind for patients and giving them the confidence to manage their own day-to-day healthcare needs.
